Special Session on: AI and NLP session for Thai Students (Thai Track) (AI and NLP 2017)

Collocated with: iSAI-NLP 2017: The Joint International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing

Scope of the Special Session

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) research has provided fundamental theory and resources to support wide range of intelligent applications. It is important that this research field must be promoted among Thai graduate and undergraduate students. This special session provides a forum for Thai students who start doing research in the AI and NLP-related fields. It provides a good opportunity for the students to gain early academic conference experience and receive constructive comments and feedbacks from experienced researchers. This special session can provide a national stage that would embark the students to the academic environment and prepare them for future international conference experience. Preliminary and ongoing research as well as application papers are also welcome. Submitted papers (4-6 pages) and presentations will be in Thai language. Accepted papers will be published and distributed to the conference participants in the conference proceedings thumbdrive and on a Website. English abstracts will be published in the conference abstract book.

Special Session on: Business Intelligence Systems (OBIS 2017)

Collocated with: iSAI-NLP 2017: The Joint International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing

Scope of the Special Session

Decision-making is a crucial, yet challenging mission in enterprise management. It is still made based on a reactive approach rather than on facts and proactive approaches. This is often due to unknown correlation between data and goals, conflicting goals and weak defined strategy. Enterprise success depends on fast and well-defined decisions taken by relevant policy makers and business actors in their specific area. Open business intelligent systems can be seen as a collection of decision support technologies and tools for enterprises to enable knowledge workers such as executives, managers, and analysts to make better and faster decisions. With the emergence of big data, it possible to explore new opportunities that will revolutionize business intelligence. These include data warehouse based decision support, Hadoop (development environment), sensor data, social media, machine learning and crowd sourcing. The aim of this workshop is provide a forum to review open business intelligent systems as an open innovation strategy and address their importance in revolutionizing knowledge processing in economics and business sustainability.

Topics for the workshop include, but are not limited to:
  • Intelligent decision support systems
  • Intelligent transport systems
  • Crowdsourcing systems and application
  • Multi-agent systems and Data analytics
  • Crowdsourcing, collaboration, and problem solving with social media
  • Social media analytics
  • Machine learning and decision support systems
  • Opinion mining and sentiment analysis
  • Business models for innovative use of big data
  • Real-time decision making, forecasting, and fraud detection using big data
  • Modeling big data and related decision scenarios
  • Methodologies for innovations to handle large data sets
  • Big data analytics in business applications
  • Business visualization
  • Artificial Intelligence For Education
